Day 1 – UK to Vancouver
Depart the UK on your flight to Vancouver.

Day 2-3 – Vancouver
Explore this scenic city at your leisure including the peacful Stanley Park and the lively Gastown District. Cross Lions Gate Bridge and experience the Capilano Suspension Bridge.

Day 4 – Vancouver to Kamloops
Travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer from the coastal city of Vancouver to Kamloops, in the heart of British Columbia’s interior. On today’s journey you will see dramatic changes in scenery, from the lush green fields of the Fraser Valley, through forests and winding river canyons surrounded by the peaks of the Coast and Cascade Mountains, to the desert-like environment of the BC interior. Highlights include the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon and the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River. Your day concludes as the Rocky Mountaineer travels along the shores of Kamloops Lake into Kamloops and are transferred to your accommodation.

Day 5 – Kamloops to Banff
Your journey continues Eastward to the mighty Canadian Rockies and the province of Alberta. Once again you will see a spectacular array of scenery as you travel across ranchlands, along rocky lakeshores, over high mountain passes and through the remarkable tunnels that form part of the rich rail history of the Canadian Rockies. Today’s highlights include Craigellachie, where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven, the climb over Rogers Pass, Kicking Horse Canyon, the Spiral Tunnels and, of course, the glaciers and snow-capped peaks of the Canadian Rockies. Your rail journey ends this evening in the resort town of Banff.

Day 6 – Banff to Calgary
Explore one of the most scenic areas of the world today at your leisure. Visit Lake Louise, the Glacier Skywalk or the Columbia Icefield. In the afternoon take the coach out the east side of the Rocky Mountains and arrive into Calgary.

Day 7-8 – Calgary
Experience all Calgary has to offer at your leisure. Visit the Heritage Park Historical Village or Fort Calgary, experience the cowboy atmosphere even in the Downtown area, or if you time it right, grab a ticket to the Calgary Stampede.

Day 9 – Calgary to the UK
Take a final look at this amazing city before departing for the airport for your overnight flight back to the UK.
