In instances of good service a 10% tip in the Seychelles currency, the Seychelles Rupee, or in Euros is considered standard although discretion is left to each traveller. Some restaurants will add a 5-10% service charge to the bill and further gratuity is not expected.

With influences from Africa and the Indian sub-continent, curries are also a common meal in Seychelles with all dishes often served with rice. Located in the Indian Ocean, the weather in Seychelles is predominantly tropical with a distinct wet and dry season. Peak season is centred largely around the monsoon with the dry season between May and October though other months still have extended periods of sunshine.
