Most people in Dubai also leave a small tip for the staff. The usual amount is between 10-15%, depending on how good you feel the service was.

In the UAE the power plugs and sockets are the same as standard UK three pin plugs (type G). 220V / 50Hz.

The official language of the UAE is Arabic. English is widely spoken too, so getting by is easy.

With year-round sunshine, Dubai is a destination that calls holidaymakers at all times. Most popular in the slightly less hot months on the cusp of their summer as August averages 41°C during the day and can reach 50°C. The coldest month is January at 23°C.

Although not receiving much rain, the wettest month is February with an average of 40mm making Dubai the perfect destination for a winter escape.
