The best time to visit Seychelles is whenever you need a sunny break! The peak season between May and October has better weather but the months on the cusp still offer good value and specials can be found in the off peak season. With celebrations and festivals throughout the year, as well a natural occurrences, a holiday to Seychelles doesn’t have to be just a beach escape. As with a lot of places, tipping in Seychelles is not compulsory. In instances of good service a 10% tip in the Seychelles currency, the Seychelles Rupee, or in Euros is considered standard although discretion is left to each traveller. Some restaurants will add a 5-10% service charge to the bill and further gratuity is not expected.

Seychelles plugs and sockets are the same as standard UK three pin plugs (type G). 240V / 50Hz.

The three official Seychelles languages are Seychellois Creole, French and English making it an easy island to experience on holidays.

Surrounded by water, seafood features largely in Seychelles food and is cooked in a variety of ways, from steamed to grilled to wrapped in banana leaves. Located in the Indian Ocean, the weather in Seychelles is predominantly tropical with a distinct wet and dry season. Average temperatures remain relatively constant throughout the year, with average maximums ranging from 27°C to 32°C and high humidity year round. Peak season is centred largely around the monsoon with the dry season between May and October though other months still have extended periods of sunshine.
