It is customary to tip your waiter $1-$2 USD, which is about 20-40 Pesos. For a la carte dining, $5 USD or about 90 pesos is appropriate. Outside of the all-inclusive, a standard is between 15%-20%

The official language spoken in Cancun is Spanish. Most of the Mexicans working in the tourism industry speak English. Many of the local indigenous people still speak Mayan as their first language and Spanish as their second.
