    A 10% tip is usually expected for services when dining out. A 1 or 2 Cuban Peso tip is usually expected for hotel staff carrying bags and maids for cleaning your room.

    In Cuba the power plugs and sockets are a two flat pin plug (type A) or a two round pin plug (type C). 110-120V / 60Hz

    The official language spoken in Cuba is Spanish and it is the first language of majority of the population. However, in tourist areas English is more commonly spoken.

    The best time to visit Cuba is from December to May, when it is dry and hot. The wet season usually begins in June and travelling between August and October there is a risk of hurricanes.
